misc web image SwimCap          Practice Times

Below are the typical practice times and pool locations by day.

Water bottles are MANDATORY at practices. Swimmers are working very hard and lose a lot of fluids. Therefore, we need to constantly rehydrate while practicing.

Practice & Drylands Training Rules - Click to view

Swim Practice Rules:

  • Please try to arrive on time and ready to begin your warm up
  • Ask that all swimmers be responsible for bringing all equipment to all practices
  • All equipment should be labelled so when things get left behind it can be returned to swimmer
  • Water bottles are mandatory and must be brought by all swimmers – hydration is very important
  • It is hard for the coaches to communicate with the swimmers while they are in the pool, we ask that all parents keep the conversation to a minimum to make it easier for the swimmers to hear the coaches. Coaches also ask that parents do not come on deck to talk to their swimmers. Please wait to discuss something with them after practice.
  • All posted pool rules (including those at meets) are to be followed at all times.
  • BREWSTER POOL RULE – please remove all outdoor shoes when entering the pool deck – Brewster Pool staff work very hard to keep the pool deck clean and bacteria free.
  • NO PARENTS IN THE CHANGE-ROOMS (parents are asked to enter the change room once the swimmers are all on deck and leave 5 minutes before the end of practice)
  • Swimmers are to exit change-rooms as quickly as possible before and after practices. No swimmers should remain in change-rooms to socialize. There is absolutely no tolerance for horseplay, profanity or abuse of any kind.

TheEnergyLab Rules:

  • Please try to arrive on time and ready to begin your warm up
  • You are required to wear appropriate work out clothing
  • Always bring a water bottle
  • Wear indoor running shoes (not street running shoes) – this might be an added expense for some families, however it allows TheEnergyLab to keep the facility clean and the cost not as expensive.
  • Reminder to all parents that their children need to be picked up at 5pm straight, as there are other groups coming in and it is not the responsibility of TheEnergyLab to watch our swimmers.
Practices are subject to change throughout the year as required by Brewster Pool schedule. These changes will be emailed out and added to the website calendar. Changes usually occur 2-3 times during the season when swim lessons are not occurring (usually approx. 2 week lengths). These changes are out of our control as they are dictated by the City of Hamilton. Sorry for any inconvenience.
